Virtual Machines (VM)#

myDelska offers two types of self-service virtual machines: Regular performance VMs for everyday workloads and High-performance VMs for demanding, CPU-sensitive applications.

Regular performance VMs (Regular)#

Regular performance VMs are predefined virtual machine configurations designed for everyday workloads. They are suitable for websites, small applications, development environments, office tools, test systems, VPN gateways, and other standard workloads that do not require dedicated high-performance CPU behavior.

Regular VMs include SSD storage, KVM virtualization, EU locations, and standard network connectivity.

When to choose Regular performance VMs#

Choose Regular VMs if you need:

  • a simple and predictable virtual server;
  • quick deployment from a predefined plan;
  • a cost-efficient environment for standard workloads;
  • a VM for websites, testing, development, VPN, or lightweight business applications.

Things to know#

Regular VM plans have predefined CPU, RAM, and storage combinations. If you need more resources, you can choose a larger plan or use available add-ons where applicable.

High-performance VMs (Performance Optimized)#

High-performance VMs are designed for more demanding workloads that require more stable and predictable performance.

These VMs use CPU passthrough technology, which allows the virtual machine to use the physical CPU features more directly. This helps reduce virtualization overhead and provides more consistent performance for applications that are sensitive to CPU behavior.

When to choose High-performance VMs#

Choose High-performance VMs if you run:

  • databases;
  • ERP systems;
  • analytics workloads;
  • resource-heavy business applications;
  • migration workloads;
  • applications that need more predictable CPU performance.

Things to know#

Performance Optimized VMs are recommended when workload stability and predictable performance are more important than choosing the lowest-cost VM plan.
