VM Add-ons#
VM Add-ons allow you to extend or improve your virtual machines with additional services.
Backup#
The Backup add-on allows you to create and manage backup policies for your virtual machines. Backups help protect your VM data and provide a recovery option if something is deleted, misconfigured, or damaged.
When to use Backup#
Use Backup if you need:
- protection against accidental data loss;
- a recovery option before major changes;
- regular restore points for important systems;
- additional resilience for business-critical VMs.
Things to know
Backups should not be treated as a full disaster recovery solution by default. For more advanced recovery scenarios, retention planning, offsite backup, or disaster recovery requirements, contact the Delska team.
Extra Storage#
The Extra Storage add-on allows you to add additional SSD storage capacity to your virtual machines.
This is useful when your VM needs more disk space than included in the selected plan.
When to use Extra Storage#
Use Extra Storage if:
- your application needs more disk space;
- your database or files are growing;
- you need additional capacity without switching to a completely different VM plan;
- your workload stores logs, media files, documents, or application data.
Things to know
Adding storage increases available capacity, but it does not automatically optimize the operating system or application. In some cases, disk resizing or configuration may also be required inside the VM.
Network Bandwidth#
The Network Bandwidth add-on allows you to review or upgrade VM network speed where available.
By default, each VM includes network connectivity with a standard-inclusive 100 Mbit/s bandwidth level. If your workload requires more bandwidth, available upgrade options may be selected.
When to use Network Bandwidth upgrades#
Use a bandwidth upgrade if your VM is used for:
- high-traffic websites or services;
- VPN or networking workloads;
- large file transfers;
- backup or replication traffic;
- applications that require more consistent network throughput.
Things to know
Network bandwidth upgrades affect the available network speed, not the amount of transferred data. Actual performance may also depend on the destination network, routing, application behavior, and VM configuration.
All myDelska virtual machines include unlimited inbound and outbound data transfer. You pay only for the selected network speed — not for traffic your workloads generate.

Technical Support provides access to assistance from DELSKA infrastructure specialists when you need help beyond the standard operation of the myDelska platform.
You can always contact the myDelska Support team if you experience difficulties using the platform, cannot complete an action, or are unsure how a feature works. This includes questions about creating or managing VMs, billing, payments, backups, network options, account access, and other platform-related functionality.

Contact Support if you:
- cannot complete an action in the platform;
- experience an error or unexpected platform behaviour;
- need help creating, starting, stopping, or managing a VM;
- have questions about billing, invoices, payments, or workspace access;
- need clarification about backups, storage, bandwidth, or other available options;
- are unsure whether an issue is related to the platform or your VM configuration.
